About the Program
Dr. Denise Branecky, DVM, IVCA, CVA and Dr. Marianne Marshall-Gibson, DVM, DACVSMR, CAC, cVMA, who specialize in Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation will be sharing their expertise on how to keep your equine companions feeling their best at all stages of life!
During the clinic, attendees will rotate through stations going through the following:
- Discussion & demonstration of gait analysis - what your veterinarian looks for during a soundness/lameness examination &; how to assess your horse for areas of weakness and compensation.
- Discussion & demonstration of proper technique for performing Dynamic mobility/core strengthening exercises, using ground poles, hills, and unstable surfaces.
- Discussion & demonstration of correct use of some equine rehabilitation equipment including:
BEMER
- Assisi Loops
- Class IV Laser (and other classes)
- Rapid Release Technology
- Equicore Concepts Equiband system
- SureFoot Pads
- Discussion of correct use of some equine rehabilitation equipment & treatments:
- Water Treadmill
- Whole body vibration therapy
- Shockwave
- Regenerative therapies (IRAP, PRP, Pro-Stride, Stem Cells, RenoVo)
- Chiropractic
- Acupuncture
